Bron: Superstainable

Superstainable is een Deens label met essentiele outdoor items, gemaakt met respect voor mens en milieu. Superstainable maakt weloverwogen keuzes in het kader van duurzaamheid. Zo kiezen ze er bijvoorbeeld bewust voor om niet in Europa het eindproduct te produceren, omdat alle materialen lokaal uit Turkije en China komen. De uitstoot zou met 70% omhoog gaan als zij voor productie in Europa zouden kiezen. 

Eerlijk gemaakt: de items worden eerlijk gemaakt in Turkije en China in fabrieken met een GOTS, Oeko-Tex en SA8000 certificaat, een toonaangevend certificaat als het gaat om sociale productie. De fabrieken zijn ook aangesloten bij de Fair Wear Foundation, die controleert op eerlijke werkomstandigheden. 

Milieuvriendelijk: de kleding wordt gemaakt van GOTS gecertificeerd biologisch katoen of gerecyclede materialen en daarnaast gebruikt Superstainable kleine hoeveelheden non-mulesing, biologisch wol. 

Goed doel: Superstainable steunt de goede doelen Plastic Change, EcoTree International en WILD Nature Foundation.
