This product is made from high-quality Soft Class cow leather. This is one of our most exclusive leather types in the collection. The leather is specially made to be up to 20% thicker than other leathers, giving it a sturdy yet supple look and feel. Additionally, Soft Class leather is a 'finished' leather, meaning it is sprayed in the correct color. This, along with a flexible painted contrasting edge, provides a modern and luxurious appearance.

Moreover, the Soft Class collection is made from vegetable-tanned leather. This tanning method is more environmentally friendly as it uses only natural products.

The Chesterfield Brand werd 10 jaar geleden opgericht en is een familiebedrijf on steroids (neem vooral een kijkje op hun heerlijke teampagina waar Ajax én Feyenoord rustig samenkomen!). Het team heeft een enorme passie voor leer en wil bewijzen dat het ook anders kan en dat iedereen positief kan profiteren van betere arbeids- en leefomstandigheden in de modeindustrie. 

Eerlijke handel: The Chesterfield Brand werkt intensief samen met de Indiaase fabrieken waar de leren producten gemaakt worden. Ze hebben langdurige samenwerkingen (al meer dan 10 jaar!) en bezoeken de fabrieken meerdere keren per jaar zelf. Daarnaast hebben alle fabrieken een SEDEX of SA8000 certificaat.

Milieuvriendelijk: Hoewel ze er wel naar streven, wordt het leer dat The Chesterfield Brand gebruikt nog niet altijd natuurlijk gelooid. Een deel van het gebruikte leer wordt namelijk nog op de ouderwetse manier gelooid, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van chroom. 

Het merk richt zich op kwalitatieve tassen die lang mee gaan. Niet elke week een nieuwe collectie in de winkels, maar zo'n 80% basiscollectie. Op hun website vind je ook allerlei verzorgingsproducten en tips om je nieuwe favoriete tas zo lang mogelijk in goede staat te houden. 

Ook leuk? Het hoofdkantoor draait volledig op zonne-energie en het hele wagenpark bestaat uit hybride auto's!

Goed doel: Via The Chesterfield Brand Foundation ondersteunt het merk verschillende projecten in India; het idee is om op deze manier het merksucces nog meer te delen met lokale bevolking. De stichting werkt samen met Stichting Actie Calcutta en ze financieren op deze manier verschillende projecten waarmee ze zich willen inzetten voor de verbetering van werk-, leef- en onderwijsomstandigheden in het land.
